Why Podcasting Is Awesome
A “podcast” is a digital audio show that can be downloaded individually or can be subscribed to as a series. Podcasts can be saved to your computer, smartphone, tablet, or iPod/mp3 player.
With a host of interior design podcasts available at the tip of your fingers, you can stay updated about the latest buzz in the industry, as well as gain insights and advice from experts.
What makes podcasts so popular is that they can be downloaded to your phone, allowing you to take them with you wherever you go. What this means is that you can subscribe to design industry podcasts and listen to them while driving, walking, cooking, or at the gym. Your community and education are always on tap!

Podcasts make it possible to stay up to date with the design industry’s pulse without having to actually “allocate” time for it, as you would if you joined a coaching class or a webinar. Podcasts discuss a range of interior design topics from the design process to matters related to design business such as pricing, legal matters, credentialing, networking, trade shows, CEUs, and marketing.
To listen to a podcast, download a podcast app on your phone. Apple users already have the Podcast app pre-installed on their iPhones. Android users can download Google Podcasts from the Play Store. Open the app, and using the search function, select and subscribe to podcasts that you are curious about. New episodes will automatically appear on the app. Alternatively, you can visit the podcast’s website from a computer and stream it directly from the page. Itunes, Stitcher, iHeartRadio, and Spotify are some platforms that you can use to listen to podcasts.
